Long(er) bio

Ruxandra Duru currently lives and works in NYC. She splits her time between using her color knowledge at Google and her practice.

A third culture person, she was born in Romania, spent her childhood in Morocco, moved during her teens to Canada and in her mid-twenties to Barcelona, Spain where she resided until 2021.

She worked in the editorial graphic design field until 7 years ago, when she became increasingly interested in how colors, among others properties of our surroundings, can create different atmospheres and improve our well-being in a variety of contexts including graphic design, art and architecture.

She enjoys researching, experimenting then synthesising her findings to share it with others, which she does mostly on Medium.
